so this isn't a poem but a short piece I wrote.... It's about the world I want to live in, well a fantasy world...

My world
-------------------------------------
My world is a place where you can do the impossible, you can stay up as long as you want and you never get tired, you can stay up reading, play hilarious games, such as: musical laps. In my world, no one is mean, well mostly but people are aware of your feelings. Everyone is perfect and everyone there has a soul mate. We have all been to my world at one stage or another. In my world no one is evil and no one is good, no one is wrong or right, no one is better or valued more then others. Everyone is equal and can have a say. No one fights for money; no one fights just for the pleasure of fighting. In my world there are no wars and there are no fights to make sure there are no more wars. In my world people aren’t plagued by nightmares. In my world everyone is safe. My world is Dreamland!

If you read this, tell me what you think....

ok so this next thing...it's not a poem it's actually something that a sub teacher put up on the board the other day that i found slightly amusing and true....so here it is.....

15 Ways To Be Miserable
---------------------------
1. Wait for others to make you happy
2. Blame everyone else for your unhappiness
3. Use 'if only' for time, money and friends
4. Compare what you have with what others have
5. Always be serious
6. Take responcibility for everything all the time
7. Try to please everybody all the time: in other words, never say 'No'
8. Help others, but never let others help you
9. Consider your feelings and desires unimportant
10. If anyone compliments you, discount it
11. If anyone says anything, exagerate it
12. Always remain calm, cool and collected
13. Resist change to the death
14. Strive for absolute perfection
15. Always live in the past or future

so what did you think? it's pretty cool i think...
Until next time.
Jay
P.S. Oh yeah look at the counter...how cool is the counter!!!

Yet another poem without a title.... well actually two poems.... so next time i'll be starting on my poetry books.....

------------------------

Walking along
The wind swirling round me
Caressing my body
Kissing my lips
Whispering the words
I want to hear
In my ear
Running over me like water
Soaking me with the air
Bringing me new smells
From far away
The wind is my protector
My saviour
My lover
My soul

-------------------------

The fire burns deeply within me
It is an eternal flame
One, which cannot be doused
It spreads like wide-fire
Over taking our minds, spirit, and body
I feel it coursing through my veins
Chilling me to the core
When it leaves
I feel cold and empty
Like a part of me has been burnt
Right down to ash
And is blowing away in the wind

----------------------------------

there they are... the last two electronic poems.... well poems that i wrote on the computer....i think i might have posted about 10 poems now....hmmmm....

again and again

Apr. 4th, 2006 | 09:25 am

So anyway, I keep coming upon my old poems on my computer and on different discs....and i know i still have heaps of notebooks full of them... I've come into the habit of have a note book with me at all times so i can just scrible down things, poems, strange facs, lyrics, story ideas.... that sort of stuff....

Trapped Freedom
--------------------
You can hear me
Yet I cannot hear you
I feel your presence
While you search for mine
Always-walking right past

I hear the birds sing
Wishing I could myself
Hoping that maybe your voice
Will cure me

We could help each other
If we tried hard enough
We could set ourselves free
Like the wind
Whispering in the trees

We could become the fire
Burning brightly, eternal light
We could be the water
Calm, cooling, serene
Or the earth
We could become Mother Nature

Yet here we are
Sitting at home
We are not brave enough
Nor will we ever be.

From what i remember this was one i did it in the attempt to try and create the same sort of feel as Cell Animation.... that one's down below.....but it kind of twisted into the elements, and the freedom they bring... so it's a bit disjointed... witht the first half being like Cell Animation and the second half being about elements... although it all ties in, because it talks of being trapped, and the freedom that surrounds us.
Until next time.

Mar. 31st, 2006 | 04:16 pm

So i found some more of my old poems...hey might be a bit dark.....
I'll add one every now and then... slowly working onto my newer ones...
many of these older ones don't have names so bear with me....

----------------------------
I try
But does anyone care?
I try
Yet it goes unnoticed
I try
Still I am all alone
I try
So hard
But forever I will remain lost, alone
Never to be found or looked upon

------------------------------

The stresses of life
I have experienced them
The hardships of life
I wish on no other
The pain
I shall not speak of them
The love
Never shall I have
The warmth
Of a family
Most people have
I wish upon a wish
That all may have
Never to be alone
Or forgotten

-----------------------

The night holds secrets
None shall find
It holds the key to many things
It is the opposite of light
That all have, had, or will have
Some give up on the light
Never to return
They give in to the night
They give their souls, heart and mind
What people don’t understand
Is that night isn’t evil
Or a place to die
Night is a sanctuary
One that is shared
And those who venture to it
Never return

----------------------------

You run
And you hide
But everywhere you go
You feel its presence
You can almost hear it
Closing in on you
You can smell it in the air
You breathe it in and out
You can sense it
Coming closer
Closer
Finally catching up to you
And that’s the end
You give up
After years of running
You give in
And you know
You will never regret it

---------------------------

there's a few of them there... i think i might have written these after i had an argument with my father...bu i think that was only the tip of the iceberg....
Until next time

cell animation

Mar. 30th, 2006 | 09:10 am

okay so in english in yr 7 we watch this short clip called cell animation, it was a bout a guy, who could paint, but he got arrested and put in a cell, but he then painted a paradise where he was free...i was an animation of course, and it's only the outline of what is was about, but anyway, we then had to write a poem, his is my poem but i've altered one or two words, just to make it flow a bit easier...

Cell Animation
------------------
The stabbing darkness surrounds me,
Pushing the air away from my lungs,
Chocking me soundlessly,
No one can help me.

The loneliness around me makes no noise,
It makes no movement,
It only watches and waits,
I know it is near, but where.

The chilling footsteps coming to release me,
Walk straight past,
Never returning for more then a minute.

The rough blankets draped across my shoulders,
Scratch me, hurting me,
The pain I can stand,
But for how long I don’t know.

The dull foods, that in my world are feasts,
Wander away with my imagination,
I dare not taste the feast for fear,
Fear of finding it as dull, dry food.

The hopes of my heart lie dying,
As cold walls close in preventing escape,
Nowhere to run,
Nowhere to hide.
Trapped.

Unwilling tears fall from pools of loneliness,
Streaking down my face,
Forming puddles at my feet.

The dreading silence surrounds my suffering soul,
Always around,
Day and night,
Never again will I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

the only word that i changed was in the second last stanza, it was the word puddles, it was oriinally pools, i just felt it didn't fit, because i had used it just two lines before....
Until next time...

Cherry Tree

Mar. 30th, 2006 | 09:00 am

Here's a poem i wrote about 2 years ago when my grandfather was dying...

Cherry Tree
-------------
The time has come
To pity and mourn
No longer shall we meet
Underneath the cherry tree

Darkness has fallen
Many are lost
Now lay still at the base
Of the cherry tree

Memories have past
All but one forgotten
Of the times we had
In the light of the cherry tree

Cards have been played
Sacrifices made
And all of these happened
Beneath the cherry tree

Hope you liked it....it was an emotional time...
Until next time....
